These are all Douglas fir timbers.  The first three pictures are surfaced (you can tell by the chamfer--we don't typically chamfer rough sawn timbers), the next two pictures are rough sawn (look for the saw marks from the sawmill), and the last is surfaced (before the chamfer).  How did you do?  I got a six out of six...
