We have been looking at a lot of barns lately, and I thought I would try to explain some very basic barn designs to show the level of flexibility that
we have in our design and fabrication process.

Vermont Barn |
|
This is a barn that we built very close to our facility here in North Springfield, VT. It was out of hemlock, and features a loft area for hay storage, and a shed roof for storage of equipment. This is a very simple principal purlin design with common rafters.
|
Massachusetts Barn |
This barn was built for a foundation in Massachusetts that has a
volunteer-based farm. It features pine beams, a traditional cupola, and dovetailed joists upstairs. The bents have a king post profile--elegant yet simple.

New England Barn |
Finally,
this is another barn that was built for a client outside of Boston, MA. It is designed for horses and equipment, and is banked into the terrain for small equipment storage on the second floor.
